I am Brian Robert Hurst. I had the tremendous honour to meet Col Chappell in Sofia, Bulgaria at my parents home in 1974. My father, Col Robert L Hurst, was the Air Attache in the U.S. Embassy. Immediately I was in complete awe of Col & Mrs Chappell & they have been a sincere blessing to me since 1974. My favourite memory of Col Chappell is of him leading us kids on a walk during a cold winter evening & several inches of snow. Our destination was the British Embassy for movie nite. As a result if that trek, I have walked many a cold & snowy Winter nites in various European countries. 6 kilometers each walk. Lt Col Chappell was an outstanding Artillery Officer, Barracks Commander, Attache. Plus loving / caring / wise / Man of God. My heart is heavy with grief. I salute and Thank You Colonel Robin H Chappell. With Deepest of Love & Respect. Brian R Hurst, Houston, Texas USA.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
